RAPID Array is a magnetic beads-based DNA probing technology which was newly established by AsiaGen Corporation. With the DNA multiplication and signal amplification, the amplified DNA samples will be labeled, hybridized and validated by Liquid Array (DNA probes that coupled to magnetic beads). Afterwards, the specific probe validated DNA samples can be separated from those unmatched DNA samples. And the luminometer will distinguish if there is any specified DNA among samples. The existing DNA multiplication techniques for identification of infectious disease (such as Amplicor, LCR and TMA) merely amplify DNA or RNA for nucleic acid amplification without validation of specified DNA. RAPID Array Platform Technology is designed to derivate a series of accurate and advantageous techniques via liquid hybridization probing and luminescence detection. AsiaGen Corporation has successfully make use of this platform to develop Mycobacterium tuberculosis and SARS-CoV genomic detection kits.
